Shift of Seasons.

I’ve been teaching, lecturing and writing about Shamanism, Sacred Circle Tradition and Indigenous Dreaming for a little over 25 years.   I’ve come to notice that in my field of work the older you are the better it is. And it makes sense…   Naturally it’s not only about age it’s about the time and the effort consecrated to the understanding of personal experience.   It’s about consciousness. Shamanism is a field; which specifically requires trusting and surrendering to our personal experience.   It’s about collecting resources through learning, healing and growing. We may all relate to nature and the stars from different angles; but it’s only after 47 years of empirically studying the way of the Wheel that I can finally say: “I get it.”   I’ve come to understand that in Western Society we are too quick to share.   We’ve been brought up to give a lot of importance to emotional reactions.   As soon as we’re excited, sad or impressed we jump on the phone or compute

Ghost Whispering

I was looking through my BLOG ARCHIVE this morning and found myself re-reading my very first blog entry in October, 2008. In the comment section, I noticed a question by Pixie; which was written in 2009.  It suddenly dawned on me that some of you read and re-read some of my old entries.  I love the way you are making “my blog” timeless and the way you use some of the writings as teachings adaptable to your daily living. As you all know I appreciate every comment and question you have for me; but unfortunately, some do get lost in the shuffle especially when they are connected to some of my old writings. So please if you are reading some old entries and come up with questions and stories that you would like to share bring those inquires and insights to the comment section of the latest blog entry and make sure to reference it to the text you were reading.  This way – you’ll be sure to get a reply.  Thank you! It seems that every year around Fall Equinox and Hal

Goodbye Reality.

At the end of the Great Gathering this summer, I noticed how difficult it is for people to say “goodbye.”   Most of us have been indoctrinated to either end an experience with the help of affection or with the help of conflict.   What is sad about this kind of programming is that it is repeatedly inconsistent.   Nobody will argue against the fact that touch is important for healing and learning.   Experiments have been done showing how positive affection can literally enhance the intellectual development in children.   Kids are naturally loving and aren’t afraid to show it.   Yet, what is unfortunate is how as a Society, we’ve created boundaries (laws) based on sexual abuse rather then looking at how detrimental the “lack of touch” can be on the global population.   We’re afraid of consequences and it’s those fears; which lead the way.   I’d love to see a Society; which believes in empowerment and allows “power / medicine” to lead the way. On the other

Great Gathering Blue Moon Experience.

I haven’t written in a few weeks mainly because I was busy getting ready for our Blue Moon Great Gathering.   Unlike other gatherings; which we host every year in our home Province Quebec – this particular workshop held cosmological importance.   8,000 years ago ancients from all over our planet talked about the Blue Moon of 2012. We’ve yet to understand why this particular Moon was important to them; but we figure it may have something to do with an unusual planetary alignment.   According to astronomers by late 2012 (starting with the Blue Moon) all planets should be aligned and pointing towards the center of the Univers. The Mayans predicted the end of their calendar by 2012 and where most may believe it implies the end of the World, I tend to predict it’s more about the beginning of something unexpected.   Certainly our experience last week at the Great Gathering supports the idea that we are stepping into a new reality. There are legends; which speak of huge pop
